Default Pain on my left side.

Hi (i will be going to doctors if pain gets worse)

Today i woke up and had the most awful pain (more muscular the anything i think) on my left side like period pain X with cramps times 100.

I went to the chemist and they asked me a heap of questions and and i told them my symptoms and gave me some iburofen and said if i get worse go straight to emergency.

The pharmacist asked what my pain rating was between 1-10 and i said about a 7 then he said if it gets to 8 or 9 go to the hospital.

The Iburofen worked for a little bit but when i went to lay down it hut like a ***** so at the moment i can't stand up walk or lay down and sitting down is the only position i can stay in.

And yes i did the stupid thing and went to Dr google and all they said i was having a miscarriage which it very unlikely.

So i was just wondering has anyone else had pains like this?
And what the out come was?

It could be an ovarian cyst... It's quite normal as well, but if the pain does get worse, go see a doc.

Well, I get crazy crazy pain around ovulation some months, where it hurts to do anything other than double over, and makes me want to try and shove my hand into my tummy as hard as possible. Mine usually starts really subtle, and gets worse and worse, gets to about 8 on my pain scale and goes really quickly (like an hour or so) leaving me feeling pre-period crampy.

I will alway get a positive Ovulation Predictor test the next day.

    Hi

I went to hospital today because i was so sore and wanted an answer.

Turns out it was a UTI so i got some AB's but i am still in pain no pain killers are working and i can't sleep because of the pain.
The hospital did give me 2 panadine forte which was wonderful but they didn't think i would need them at home but i wish i got some coz i am in so much pain atm i really want to go to bed and sleep but the pain is stopping me.

Ugh awful. Tho you arent preg- I get uti's chronically avout once every five or six weeks EVERY time im preg. Ive never had one outside of pregnancy. One of my oregnancies, the reason I even knew to test days before af was due was bc I woke up w that back/side pain u r referring to. Did they check ur levels or do an ultrasound? Go back if the pain isnt subsiding after.24 hrs on the antibiotic. Uti's soread very easily to the kidneys- which is most ofteb the cause of that flank pain. If you ball your hand up into a fist or have someone else make a fist... Tap your lower side of your back gently near the flank.. if it feels tender inside, it is likely yiur kidneys.. At least thats what my 17 uti's, two kidney infections, hospitalization and two bouts of kidney stones taught me good luck!
