Was taking a customers details at work the other day....

Quinlan was the surname.. But I thought it made a funky sounding first name actually :-)

I agree it is so hard! My friend has a son who is named Jaxon and I think it looks much better than Jackson. He always gets called Jax. If you like just "Jax" then I say go for it because like you said whether you spell it Jaxon or Jackson you will call him Jax for short. I am not a big fan of naming your child a name and calling it something different anyway eg. Elizabeth - Libby
    Hope this helps

Loving the Jax name, very cute

I like Zach, Connor, and Dallas, and more recently Harrison (Harry for short).

We are having a boy and finding it so hard with names!
So far on our list is:
Bentley (hate that the shortened version will be Ben)
Brax (Not after Home and Away, Never watched the show)
Jasper (DP thinks its a girls name ?!?!?!)
Thor (Friends hav a dog called Thor, so i think of it as a dogs name, no ofence anyone)

My Nephew was just born and is called Jett, I Love love love the name and the fact it cant be shortened.

I am due in aug and having a dd. If it was ds he was going to be bentley. I was more worried about it being shortened to bent. I love the name but

Boys names are a lot harder than girls.

For DS I had: Quentin, Darren, Sebastian and Zavier/Xavier.

Have you considered looking at different languages? Like Spanish names? Xavier is Spanish and they have so many more beautiful boys names....
