Good on you for stepping up and doing that for these kids sounds like they have an awsome aunt. I can understand where you are coming from I'd move heaven and earth for my nieces and nephews as well just glad they have good parents. Hope everything works out for you and the little kiddies.

    that is great news.

with our home visits, they were pretty nice.

The checked for a complete fenced yard, fire safety (alarms and extinguisher), safe sleeping space, safe transport...and just general chat.

Our 2nd home visit was a disaster. The lady was there and DH had to go and get DS from daycare...on the way there, someone ran into him. He called me in a panic...i had to leave the worker in our house, rush down and get DS (after seeing DH to get the car seat) and then come home...DH had to wait for the police and a tow truck...then got home very very flustered! DS had been hit at daycare...had a cut/bruise on his face and was very tired and grumpy and proceeded to throw a massive tanty!

The worker left half way through the tantrum...

I was OMG, they are never going to let us have our lil one.

But, the worker called the next day and we were granted custody...she praised us on handling the emergency well, she loved how DH and i interacted under pressure and how we handled DS's tantrum. She said she gave us a stronger report than those she saw that things went perfect...cause she saw the real us lol

Best of luck, i hope all 3 kids are together with you soon!
