Default What do you and your DP do for your anniversary?

So just as the title says- how do you celebrate the day (if you do at all)?
DH and I will have our 6th wedding anniversary on Easter Monday and I have no idea what to do. Please give me some ideas! No presents this year.

We normally go out for dinner somewhere nice We usually say no presents but then end up getting each other something little anyway... DH is really good for anniversarys & always makes it a special day. The best present I've had is a love letter from DH - I love it way more than anything he's ever bought me!!

What about a date night...or dinner where you had your first date? Or what about having the house to yourselves & having dinner from your fav place, a dvd & of course chocolates?

I'm sure whatever you organise will be a great! Good luck!

Sorry I forgot to add we'll have our 4yr old and 2 yr old with us. Im thinking a nice family thing to do together, something small though as we'll only just get back from a short holiday.
Oh I love the idea of a love letter! Im not sure if DH would just laugh at me though?... But he has been going through some stuff and it might be nice for him to hear how much I love him? Eeek I dont know....

We are pretty slack at organizing stuff for our anniversary, we don't do presents, but if DH happens to remember I get flowers, and if I happen to remember we might go out for dinner or something

Since it's opn Monday, which is a public holiday how about you go for a family picnic to somewhere nice, where the kids can have a run around and you and DH can sit back and Reminisce

A family night in sounds nice! Yeah, you guys should totally do the love letter thing. DH one year had asked me what I wanted & I told him I really, really wanted a love letter from him. To be honest, I didn't think he would write one but he did, so sweet! I wrote him one too & even he'll say that was the best gifts we've done.... I love presents like that as it means so much & its not something you get everyday. Is also nice to have to read when DH is away or when feeling upset/down.

I also saw that the traditional gift for 6th year is candy!! You could get a couple of heart shaped candy to go with it.
