Never in a million years. If I saw someone smacking my child I would break their face.

    Exactly!!
I even made my DH warn his mum, just in case she ever got that stupid idea in her head.

I've been told to smack other peoples children but I never would. We would never hit our DD either so if someone did I would call the police, just as I would if someone assaulted dp or myself. This is one reason I'm glad I've cut my family out as the are big on physical violence. Dp also will tell her parents it's not ok by us.

I've smacked my niece and nephew before, but I never really thought anything of it then. That was before I had kids of my own. Now that I do, I wouldn't smack them, or anyone else

I would never smack someone else's child, just like I would never smack my own. If someone smacked my son I would be beyond p!ssed off, they would never see him again regardless of who they are.

Everyone is well aware of my stance on smacking and thankfully everyone I associate with ( except BIL) does not smack their kids
BIL tells his twin girls that he has given every parent permission to smack them if he is not around and they are naughty, I tell them if anyone touches them to call me or the police! ( I will tell the same thing to DS when he is older)
