    Hey ladies!

I am 27, married to a musician who will be going on his tour for 3 months and we have 2 boys who are 7 years and 4 and a half months, I am also newly pregnant.
Since my DH is going to be away I think it's time Made some more mum friends in my area as all mine are 40ish minutes away!

So if you live down in the Goolwa, Middleton or victor harbor area send me a PM!!

    Default goolwa/victor mums

    hi girls,

I live in Victor Harbor and also have a partner who works away, he is in the mines. I have two boys, one is 2 and 1/2 and a 10 wk old. My friends are all in adelaide and none have kids so that makes it hard! Would love to have a catch up

    Hi!

Old thread, but I searched for info on victor and found it...

We moved to Victor Harbor in September.

Did you ladies ever organise to catch up?

We have 2 girls, but i want another baby, have any of you delivered at the public hospital in victor? I tried their web site but it has zero information on there. Can anyone tell me about the hospital and their care?

Also, mine work? I didn't realise there were mines near here, shows how little I know about where hubby moved us to!

Hey I had no idea there's mine work around here! I live on Hindmarsh island. 20 minutes from victor!

We didn't end up organizing anything.
We are moving back towards the city in late January, and I have a 3 week old daughter and a 1 and 7 year old.

Oh and I had my 2 recent babies at that hospital. It used to be a lot better there but because of cuts to funding the midwifery service isn't what it used to be. But still fantastic. Staff are great!

Congratulations on the birth of your daughter! What a lovely Christmas gift for you!

We drove over to hindmarsh island a couple of weekends ago, to look at a house for sale. I don't think we'll be buying over there. It seemed a little isolated. But that was just my impression. Should I take another look?

Thanks for the info on the hospital, I might give them a call and have a chat, I want to make sure I'm happy with them before getting utd.

    Thank you

Hindmarsh island is great, but I'm quite a social person and am someone who needs to be able to see my friends on a regular basis, which isn't possible here as they all live up near the city or seaford area.
So it can be isolated I find, but that's just me. And I haven't made friends down here, mainly because I haven't been bothered!
My inlaws live around the corner from
Me and are selling their place!

But i would recommend living here otherwise. And it's pretty cheap and nicer than victor I think. We have a waterfront property and it's so nice, I will REALLY miss it we get ducks at our back sliding door waiting for bread and you will see the occasional seal!
