Default Seeking OB for Frances Perry

    Hi Ladies,
I've just discovered I'm a couple of wks pregnant with my 2nd child- am absolutely thrilled! I've decided to go private this time around so been trawling the boards for some info but most seems a bit out of date or most recs are for other hospitals.

Last time I went to the Royal Womens' which was BRILLIANT but this time I want to go private.. to take my time post birth knowing that the crazy time will hit along with a toddler at home.

Can anyone recommend a (few) good OBs who work at Frances Perry?
    -who are low intervention
    - not too expensive if possible (!)
    - don't mind if male/female

Any advice at this stage would be much appreciated!! Am so happy my head is still spinning!!!

    Thanks in advance!

Go to the RWH and then book into a 5 star hotel on discharge for a couple of days. It will be pretty much the same as what you will get from FPH but much cheaper. I had 2 kids at FP, but not this one. Your chances of intervention will also be lower that way.

My ob first time round was Dr Bella Ajayoglu. I loved her, pretty sure she delivers there.

Thanks for the advice! I am still considering going public too but want to have all the info first - last time it was so brilliant at The Women's because I had continued care through the Cosmos program they were trialing - had the same 3 midwives through pregnancy/labour & check ups post birth. Don't think that can be guaranteed this time though.

Has anyone used the OBs from the womensogs group?
    Kym Jansen
    Angie Lee etc?

[[ Sorry.. have just realised I put this thread in the wrong category yesterday! ]]

    Hi

I recently had my first appointment with my OB Peter Jurcevic. We are very happy with our decision and feel we are in very safe, caring hands.

He delivers at FP which was important to us, and his rooms are located at the RWH.

I have two friends who had high risk pregnancies and they both saw Mark Umstad who delivers at FPH. Both girls were extremely happy with him.

    Congratulations on your pregnancy!
Dr Neil Israelsohn is fantastic, but is at Freemasons, not FPH, so not sure if that is an option for you? He's also in public at the Mercy.
Friends of mine have used Kym Jansen at FPH and said she was great as well.

Congratulations. I am booked into see Kym but she is very hard to get into as she is very good. Jenny Dowd is also part of her group. She is also very good also at what she does but is more clinical rather than personable which has its positives. Mark Umstad is more of a specialist OB. Brilliant but costly if not needed. Good luck with your decision.
