My sil uploads pics of ds on her Facebook.. She always tags dh and I. That said, they have a cousin overseas where mil is from who is on sil Facebook (dh hasn't met this cousin in his entire life) and I have just noticed on a couple of the pictures sil has posted today that this cousin has commented she's putting the picture on her Facebook and printing it out! Umm? Wtf?

We have a similar issue as a pp, with a family member who has done pretty awful stuff. And for a long time I was in the ultra-privacy mode, paying to have a silent number, not wanting to do birth announcements etc. but after a while it wore off, I guess I moved on and realized he was just a sad lonely old man, and no matter what photos etc he had, he can never have the real thing, which is us in his life. And now I just don't worry, I feel sorry for him tbh, and don't let him have power over my thoughts any longer.
It takes a long time to get to that point though, so big hugs op and anyone else in the same boat xxx

I haven't read everything, but maybe you could explain to family and friends that you don't want them handing out photos of your children, you have every right to expect they'd respect your decision, and the ones that do feel the need to pass them around are not longer allowed to have pics for themselves. Id do it if I was on that situation
