Thumbs up Diagram of a breastfed toddler - All the benefits...

    http://www.thealphaparent.com/2012/0...d-toddler.html

Sigh.... obviously this post has to come with a disclaimer, regardless of having been posted in the "celebrate breastfeeding" specific area....

The diagram is called "Diagram of a breastfed TODDLER" The author of the diagram made it for this reason:

Though it is clear that the majority of women worldwide and throughout history have nursed their children into toddlerhood and beyond, women who choose to do so today may face an uninformed and frequently critical audience.

It has NOTHING to do with formula feeders. I specifically posted this in the 'celebrate breastfeeding' section to share with other BREASTFEEDERS who would appreciate the sentiment, as there are SO many posts about woman on bubhub who are BELITTLED by ignorant people for continuing to BREASTFEED their children beyond a certain arbitrary age...

I have one exclusively formula fed child and three exclusively breast fed children - I love breastfeeding. Absolutely can't wait to start again with my next baby, but I have to admit that even I find these type of claims a bit OTT.

None of my breast fed children experienced these benefits - I feel ripped off

    Sorry to hear that

Mine is nearly 9 and has rarely been sick with colds, flu, infections, etc. She was born with a hole in her heart and an auto-immune disease, but bm cannot change that. Her hair, skin and nails are very healthy.
