    Default swimming lessons

So my dd 11 months has been doing swimming lessons since about 7 months. For a start it was great and she loved it was so calm in the water cueed really well for submersions and all. However in the last couple of weeks she has taken 2 drinking the poolwater intentianally. She will look straight at me or the instructor and open her mouth and dive in for a mouthful. She has started doing it in the bath as well. We have tried giving her drinks b4 she goes swimming but it dosent matter. Has anyone got any ideas as 2 how 2 stop this i cant see drinking chlorine 2 be good for her health!

Pretty sure it's a phase. My DD1 did that too & she stopped herself. Didn't seem to last long. She still accidentally drinks the water as she does massive wees all day after swim class.

Yep. It's a phase. All kids do it! My dd is 2.5 and she still drinks the bubble bath water. She also does swimming lessons and everytime she drinks the water we just keep telling her not to drink it, yuk! Over what seems like a million years, she's finally not drinking it. Bath water at home, I'm not overly stressed about it.
Don't worry. Just keep telling dd the pool water is yukky, etc and she'll eventually move onto another phase.
