Try and do all the feeds. Even if you then have to pass him over to be topped up by DP, him feeding hungrily from you every time he feeds will be telling your body you need to make more milk. The demand will create more supply.

Breast feeding works on supply and demand. My suggestion is to start feeding ds for each feed during the day the pass over to do to top up. It shouldn't take long to build your supply up

    Thanks for all the advice!

I do remember fenugreek helped me with DS1!

I'm the only one who bathes DS2 and I wear him a few hours a days - DP had an emergency c-section so I she can't do either. I'll try and have more skin to skin though as we have that only in the bath at the moment.

I'm also letting DS1 feed a lot more. I really can't use a pump, I pump for 40min and only get 30ml at best and very sore nipples :-( I have the Madela swing at home, but I think DS1 does a much better job and doesn't hurt :-)

I don't want to take over all the feeds yet as I can imagine her milk better for him, so I'll to fully start only a few weeks before she goes back to work. But in the mean time I can do the fenugreek, skin to skin and a feed or two a day. Any other advice would be very welcome! :-)
