    Well I don't soak the red ones they cook so fast. I just give them a quick rinse and then boil. I love red lentils I put them in my curries, soups and veg patties. I like green to but I find them to be so filling and bloating not sure why.

    Oh and I've made a bolognese with it to Cue as I rarely eat red meat.
    Maybe google lentil recipes I'm sure it will come up with hundreds.

    Depends on the type. What I usually do is bring them to the boil, turn off the stove, and leave them sitting in the water until I need to start cooking them. Works well.

    LoCo, don't know how much it would help, but the more you wash/rinse them the less bloating they're likely to be.

    Green lentils with lamb shank in the slow cooker yummy, if I do it in the slow cooker I don't bother soaking, just wash them well. Red lentils in curries, they cook fairly quickly so I don't tend to soak them.
