Both I think I'm feeling a little emotional about it today. Not even so much the braces but it's the first step towards having surgery in 10 months. I keep feeling sick and just wanting to stuff my face today!! I haven't though - but I normally don't feel this uneasy. I want it done - but it's such a process and is going to cause a lot of pain. Sorry - bit woe is me for a food thread - haha

its 'theres NO food in the house and Im not going shopping until tonight'

AKA: a piece of shortcrust pastry with tomato passatta (fake pizza style). Pumkpin, eggplant, tomato (all from garden cos like I said I have no food!), onion and haloumi.

It was ok, actually it would have been nice to a normal person, my tatse buds are a bit off. I ate a small piece and now I want a big glass of milk.

what is the surgery for (if you don't mind sharing)? We all find it emotional when we face new phases in our life, even the ones that are kinda positive long term - it is confronting. Hope your feeling better soon.

It's corrective jaw surgery as I have an underbite. my teeth are actually pretty straight but braces are part of the process to make my bite perfect. At the moment my back molars are the only teeth that touch. I think it's a bit overwhelming cos I'm single too. I feel like I'm signing myself up for 2 more years of being on my own - lol

it will be worth it in the end if its something that will make you feel more complete. My sister has always, always hated her nose and eventually she got a nose job - to some ppl it seemed vain, but it was what was right for her and she has no regrets even though the process was tough.
