Unbelievable! Thats equally as disturbing as lying to get her license!

Maybe the fact that she "trained with someone who is now deceased and cannot sigh off her paperwork" could be grounds enough for them to do a little investigating, even without a tip off? Or maybe she's blabbed about her clients to someone else who could have dobbed her in?

I'm sure there's some revenge fuelling your fire, but she sounds dodgy and you cod be doing a lot of people (future clients) a favour.

Hi Etienne. As someone who have followed your situation with your mother, and heard first hand how much distress she has caused you, I can see why you are considering cutting her out of your life permanently. And regardless of that, I agree with the poster below %100.

What do you mean? OP is after opinions and reassurance, I cannot see that she has made up her mind completely. This is a complex situation which calls for a lot of consideration on her part. Regardless of the element of "revenge", OP lives in a small community and have expressed feeling uncomfortable knowing about her mother's misconduct. Reporting her might benefit the community at large, which in my humble opinion justifies it.

Yes you should, I'd hate to think people trust her in their most vulnerable and she shares the information and isn't even trained properly! Scary.

Sorry if you read it that way but no I haven't made my mind up. I wanted to write it out so I could see how I felt after it had been said. What you first wrote actually struck a chord with me made a lot of sense.

I didn't think at any point in this thread that OP had made her mind up. I too have followed some of Etienne's story with her mother and i can tell you I don't think she needs to defend herself in this regard. Its not a simple case of 'mum kicked me out of the house and I'm ****ed'

ETA I hope that doesn't sound like I'm having a go at you Misschief, I'm not, I'm just saying...

    Yes, I would.

I have a bit of a thing against them though as my mother was taken advantage of by one.
