Everyone here has given great advice. Not sure if anyone has said this but try and really get to know the students. Understand how they learn and what they are like. Makes it easy to do lesson plans in the future if you can like a kid yourself.

    Also, just have fun!

ahhhh you do tend to have at least one crap prac .. I had one prac .. where my supervising teacher was having an affair with another teacher on staff .. not only that, but his wife found out WHILE I was doing my prac .. suffice to say I wasn't a priority and the prac was a bit of a joke .. sigh

it DOES get easier - and you'll be fine when I have prac students what I look for in a first prac is initiative ... make sure your teacher knows you have it otherwise good luck ! enjoy it!

Prac's tomorrow and I'm a bit freaked out about it, and feeling guilty for leaving the kids, I feel awful. Wish me luck please.

Hi all, just letting everyone know I passed and survived my first prac.
It was scary at first but the teacher was wonderful and told me I am welcome back on any other rounds.

    Well done!

That is great news that the teacher wants you to come back.
