You can even setup a Facebook page to debate anything parenting related that we all know will create controversy. Ie BF vs FF or politics related issues or "do you leave your child in the car when paying for petrol" threads

I have never heard of a flame thread before on BH. Maybe I have posted in one without knowing it. What is the definition of a "flame" thread?
Yeah so long as it doesn't spill over from here or have anything on it that could be construed as bullying a member from here. I think you need to brush up on the new BH rules.

As stated in the other similar thread, I'd love "The cage". A debate thread where anything including personal attacks go, trolls are free to roam and ganging up is tolerated. If you didn't want to become a victim, you don't get in the cage. Simple. Also nothing from the cage could be discussed on the regular boards. It would let members really blow off steam. I can think of a couple of long time posters I would love to have a cage fight with

...would make it easier - no rules.

1st RULE: You do not talk about BH Cage Flame Club.

2nd RULE: You DO NOT talk about BH Cage Flame Club.

3rd RULE: If someone says "stop" or goes limp, taps out the debate is over.

4th RULE: Only two guys to a debate. (meh -- this one we can drop...)

5th RULE: One debate at a time.

6th RULE: No shirts, no shoes.

7th RULE: Deabtes will go on as long as they have to.

8th RULE: If this is your first night at In the BH Cage, you HAVE to debate.

For the record, a GROUP decision to delete a thread is made by the moderating TEAM when we believe a thread has gone too far south to be salvaged. (Deleting all the offensive posts would simply make a holed thread.)

Please- I beg of you- remember:
It is unacceptable to use the open forum to question/complain/request a discussion of a decision made by the moderating team. If you wish for clarification regarding a moderating decision - feel free to contact a moderator.

Many posts in this thread are in breach of this rule. Any from here on in will incur a warning/infraction. This is your second warning already, as KatiesMum has posted a few before me.

    Play nice

I really like this idea especially number 3. It gives people a chance to say "im out of the discussion" and then leave, without people continuing to debate with them after they have left.
But Id put a limit (ie 3 times) that a person could use 'stop' before they should have decided to just stay out of the section

Im pretty much aware of the rules here after all this time.

I guess what I was saying is that ANYONE can set up a social debate forum online. BH members or not. Australians, Americans, Egyptians, etc. Anyone in this world with an internet connection, can do as they please.

IE: if my aunt in Europe were to open a debate forum tomorrow, what has that got to do with BH? They wouldn't know who had set it up. The only way it would be against the rules, is if she would start linking and advertizing it on BH (even though she isn't a member on here).

So yeah, I wasn't talking about BH members setting up a debate forum or debate FB page. I was talking about anyone and everyone being able to do this.
Even BH members can do this, though they would be at risk of being banned. Yet that's their own problem.

Information shared in the cage, should not be dragged onto the forums. Especially not after a member has stopped and walked away.
Ie: "Well a few weeks ago YOU said this and that in our debate, remember? You were wrong then and you are wrong now!"
