Default Childcare Sandford or Childcare Durham cot?

    Hi all,

We are expecting our first child and looking to buy a cot.
So far I'm leaning towards the Childcare Sandford XT or Childcare Durham XT.

Has anyone used either of these & from where did you buy it?
    Would you recommend them?
What don't you like about them, if any?
Does it fit through a standard doorway, without having to take it apart?
Are there any other cots that are probably better value for money than these? (ps: The Boori range is probably a bit too pricey for us)
Are there are any good baby stores in Melbourne that are worth visiting?
(other than Baby Bunting, Baby Co, Baby R Us, Target, K-Mart, Big W)

    Thanks all for your help!

I have one of those, I don't remember which. From memory, they were practically the same, but one style they sold at Big W, the other from Target.

My little girl is nearly 10 months and has been in her cot since birth, the higher setting of the mattress was great while she was still little as it meant we didn't have to lean over very far to get her in it. We had to drop it down a couple of months ago though when she started to pull herself up. I like this cot because you can convert it to the toddler bed it comes with all the bits and pieces to do that and it comes with wheels to make rocking the cot easier if that is what you fancy doing.

As far as fitting through a doorway, can't say I have ever tried, but I think the cot is about 74cm wide and a doorway is about 80cm. In my experience, what you can get in and out of a room depends on the space you have to manouevre as well iykwim

    Hope that helps!
