I used to go all the time by myself. I loved it. I could watch what I wanted, sit wear I wanted, eat what I wanted. And I'm usually not the only one that is there by myself.

Nowadays it's me and DD (5 months) going together to mum and bub sessions, but she spends pretty much the whole time asleep in the Ergo.

I always go alone as DH and I have no babysitters. If there's a film we both want to see, I go to the first showing, then I meet DH and DS for a quick bite to eat/drink, then DH goes to the next showing and I take DS home.

Yes I go solo. The last time I went solo I saw The Kings Speech. I never feel awkward or embarrassed about it

Not ENTIRELY alone but I have been taking my 6 month old to the movies with me once a week for the last few weeks and loving it. I'm getting to see all the movies I would normally miss out on and she sleeps or feeds through the whole thing.

When I was working and not married/kids, I worked weekends, so every Wednesday and Thursdays (my days off) I would trot into the movies on my own, loved it! In fact, truth be told, I much prefer to go on my own, I don't like people talking to me when I'm watching a movie, so don't really see the point in having someone with me unless it's a comedy and you want someone with you for the laughs etc.

Awkward : is going to a rock/pop concert on your own In the past I have gone to concerts on my own after being given a solo concert ticket for gifts and if ever I felt like a 'Nigel No friends' in was definitely in those situations!

Yes! When I went on maternity leave I would go to the midday sessions with all the seniors . I wanted to make the most of it before I had DD.

I love going to the movies solo! Dh refuses to see some of the more girly flicks and sometimes I just don't feel like company! I never get embarrassed, it doesn't phase me what others want to think or say about me being there on my own - phooey to them!

DH goes to the movies all the time for work, so usually sees things before I do.

I want to watch the Hunger Games and if I go alone I can go Gold Class, I'd rather do that than pay for DHs ticket when he hasn't read the books and have to sit in the big cinema.
