Default My number one tip for expectant parents!

Don't go out and buy a heap of expensive toys with all the bells and whistles, they wont play with them!! Just stock up on DVD cases, toilet paper, plastic bottles, remotes and make sure your phone is insured against baby drool.

Don't waste money on gimmicky baby items and you need minimum clothes as everyone gives you stacks. The less you spend on nonsense the more time you and your partner can be away from work to be home with bub.

Don't buy many clothes you get heaps!
Babies wake up/feed every 2-3 hours and that means during the night too! Wish I'd realized that!

Lost a $2 coin, don't worry, baby will find it! Don't know where that blowy went you wacked with an empty milk bottle? Don't worry, baby will find it... Dropped a dirty tissue? An old smelly sock? Dog can't find it's chew toy? You guessed it! As soon as they start rolling, they'll find it!

If you buy clothes get bigger than you think and ask people to do the same. Too many ppl bought me 0000 and my DS never wore most of them. Wish I had asked people to get 00 and bigger. And shop around when it comes to pram, car seat, cot and other expensive items, Because they are going to need to last a lot of wear and tear
