Thanks everyone! So nice to be able to talk and share about it! Will probably go with the antibiotic story, although I could do the 'fake beer' thing.
Wishing on a star, that's so funny, we told DH's mmum and my best friend too haha. We chose one person each.
Also nice to know I'm not the only one who has to pee every 5 minutes. I'm a swimming teacher so it's quite noticeable too lol.

Any tips on hiding it at work when I've stopped drinking coffee (and everyone knows I'm a coffee addict, always have one a day which doesn't seem like much but everyone is used to seeing me walk in with it in my hands!) or running to the toilet every five minutes to pee?!?!
How do you feel about converting to hot chocolate instead? If you buy it in a take away cup noone will be any the wiser!

I'd thought about this! And I love hot chocolate but I'm not sure milk is agreeing with me! I'd thought about getting one of the takeaway cups and putting lemon ginger tea in it!!! I like the idea though.
Ahhh, the lengths we go to to hide it!!!

Tell everyone you are doing a detox to get fit/increase your chances of TTC. We told friends with our first that we were thinking of trying to have a baby so I'd decided to cut back on alcohol and increase health foods. It worked.

Swimmum.... How are you coping teaching swimming lessons and needing to pee???
Last week I went to pee 6 times in 40 minutes. I had to keep running out of the classroom!!!!

lol, i enjoyed reading these posts :P i remember how much i wanted to hide it from sum and tell others :P turns out im not a good secret keeper. i accidentally said sumthin 2 my sister n she hung up on me n told our mum. mum was furious (as i already hav 2 kids, diabetes-which messes up wen pregnant n partner was going 2 jail). at first i told my boss (so she'd understand if i called in sick or got sick at work), my best friends n my nana (after she won 1400 at the casino lol). apparently my aunty (dam her being a midwife) guessed it, i had other family say ive put on weight, but y cant a chick get fat huh??? lol

    Congrats!

If you're going out for your birthday it will be tough. If you're staying home- empty a beer bottle and fill it with soft drink before anyone arrives, put it in a stubby cooler and drink it really slowly throughout the night. I've done it... noone knew I was only on my first drink or that it wasn't alcohol!

I had drinks with work and had lemonade and a fresh piece of lime. Vodka Lime & Soda lol!! No one could pick the difference obviously :-) unless they buy you a drink :-/ it's your birthday so that will prob happen. Maybe antibiotics is a better idea. We were 5 weeks when we told close friends and family. The support would be good if something happens. If you choose to tell a couple make sure they know it's a secret for now. DH told his best mate who then told his wife and she basically told everyone!! Wasn't happy :-/
