Default Anyone started up a charity??

I am after anyone who has run or is running a charity for some insight or experiences. I am wanting to start up a charity thats sole purpose is hold events to make money for a different charity for each event.

Can anyone point me in the direction for info on how I start this up? I'm just starting to research it all and would love any input from anyone who can help.

Sounds good! I haven't done it myself, but I'd say a great place to start would be to do an events management course as it sounds like this is what you'll ultimately be doing and it's quite a lot of planning required for events such as this.

You could maybe just start doing one event at a time, smaller at first then as you develop your skills and get more people on board to help with organising the events, get bigger. I'd simply just devote one table at the event for the relevant charity members, and present them with the cheque in an official presentation during the event.

Good luck with it all - I've been looking at organising an event for a certain charity in the near future as well, but just the one event. It's very daunting as it would involve many many people/participants....
