Default Good Perth primary and high schools south of the river?

Can anyone recommend good primary and highschools south of the river please? I've heard that Applecross and Rossmoyne High's are supposed to be good, but are they really?

    Thanks,

I've heard Willetton is also a pretty good public high school.

Rossmoyne and Willetton always do really well in TER etc, of course you need to be in the zone... We are just out of both of them but thinking of sending our kids to private for middle/high school anyway.

But very strict with their zones. My

Sorry to sound negative but this is the truth from many friends in the Rossmoyne district.
The reason why certain schools (including Rossmoyne HS)score really high TER is purely because they discourage and delibrately ask poor performing students to not sit in their TER or national tests.. This is a very common practice which has been in the education industry for many years.
To my husband, he believes this is good as these schools will actively look for VET courses for these 'poor performing' students.. To me, I find it sad if my child really wants to go to Uni/Tafe and was not in the really high level.

I was one of those students whom performed not so well but 'just' passed all my TEE courses (its been over 10yrs since I finished HS) and when I got to uni I just realised I had to wake up or I'll be wasting my time.

So up to you which school you want to send your kids. There are many other schools in SOR which are also good.

Hehe - I went to KSHS - but many years ago - I thought it's reputation wasn't so good - although I did ok there.

Thanks for all the replies everyone. We are looking fairly close to Murdoch uni. These high school zones are a pain in the derriere.
