Default Do prem babies have wonder weeks

Hi everyone my little one was born at 33 weeks weighing 3.3 pound and 40 cm long. By emergency c section due to pre eclepsia. And this week the 21st would have been his due date. And this week I also have a upset baby his wanting to be held more and generally more fussy when I put him down to sleep also staying awake longer now. So wondering do prem babies have prem wonder weeks. Before they hit the usual term wonder weeks.

I think they do. DD was born at 36wks and would sleep constantly unless i woke her for a feed(she was on 2hrly feeds). But around her actual due date she became more alert and was harder to settle .

Mine was born at 34 weeks and never really thought about it but she became more active aaround her due date as well. I think she realised she could get cuddles for comfort around then too.

My girls were 31 weeks, and were in a brilliant routine and easy to settle thanks to NICU/SCN. And the their due date came and it's never been the same since!

I definitely think so! My son was born at 35 weeks and the wonder week charts have been pretty spot on - usually give or take a week here and there!

    Hi,
I had twins at 33 weeks a few days before christmas and what you are saying is so true- mine were more alert and wanting cuddles around their due date, also about that time their feeding went all over the place!, it took a good few days to settle back down

Yes they do. In the book it says to go by your baby's due date, not its actual date of birth. Premmies are just like any other baby, really, so I don't see why they wouldn't develop like another baby, unless of course there are reasons why.
