Default How long does a miscarriage last?

Just wonder how long a natural miscarriage lasts?
My bleeding seems to ease off then start up again.
I don't know how much longer I can do this. It's been 24 hours only. I was told it can last a few days, is that true? I'm not going to have any blood left in a few days.

This is torture knowing what is happening inside me.

    Many hugs

Mine took about 10 days. It started with brown spotting for two days, very heavy bleeding for a few days and then period-like bleeding for roughly a week following.

I'm so sorry to hear about your loss Take care

Im sorry to ask such a personal question but what do you mean by very heavy? I just don't know if what I'm dealing with is normal. I feel dizzy and weak.
Im just really scared right now.

I'm sorry for your loss too. This has to be the worse feeling ever.

If you are feeling dizzy and weak I would suggest getting some medical attention.

Hugs to you. It's a Sh!t thing to have to go through

Very, very heavy. I drenched pads so quickly that after a little while I just sat in the shower. I was so dizzy that I nearly fainted several times and I was very lightheaded. DH took me into emergency and after checking my blood pressure they hurried me straight through in a wheelchair. There was nothing they could do about it, I just laid down on a bed for several hours...in hindsight I would have stayed home. If you are worried though, it's easy enough to get checked out. You can always leave if you wish.

I'm happy to answer any questions, there is no such thing as TMI in my books

Thanks heaps. I don't want to go back to that hospitals they are useless.
When I went to the doctor this arvo I was feeling much better but now the bleeding is back and the clots. And I think it just hit me what is happening after he confirmed it.

The clots were the worst for me in the first few days (after the spotting).

If you faint or if you are particularly concerned about the amount of bleeding (or if it is prolonged), then head back to the doctor, in case it is incomplete. I hope you don't have to though, fingers crossed it is quick

Janesmum - i would be interested in how you went with the rest of your MC.

I am miscarrying at the moment. Last Friday is when the real dark brown spotting started by Saturday night it was red blood since Monday i have been really really heavy with lots and lots of clots. I am feeling very dizzy, lightheaded and have had a constant headache for days! ( i never get headaches) Just wondering how long i should expect this to go on for
