Default Who here does childcare from home, either through a scheme or on your own?

Just a question about car insurance.

How much more do you pay to use it for childcare compared to just for personal use?

I work for a QLD based insurer and they charge the same premium as private if its used for childcare (as long as its just used as a runaround not a courtesy bus type thing). But every insurer would be different.

It will be used to take a child other than my own to and from school so I was of the understanding this would change it.

Not with the company i work for, because you're doing the same thing with the car as you would anyway (ie you would drive to/from school with your own child). If you charged like a taxi it would be different. But other companies might work differently.
