Hi ladies! I'm Sophie, I am a first year Student Midwife at the University of Queensland. I do most of my studies at Mater Mother's, including two shifts a week. As part of our course we are doing a continuity of care experience. That means we are a support person to 20 women over 3 years. We attend as many of your antenatal appointments as possible, the labour and birth, as well as some postnatal appointments. If you will be delivering in the Brisbane/Logan I would LOVE to follow through your pregnancy. I would NOT take over the Midwife's/OB's job, but I would be a support person there for YOU, during you pregnancy, labour and the weeks after. I would love to follow you through no matter what your circumstances are. I'm very passionate about Midwifery and being an advocate for women. It doesn't matter if you are planning a vaginal delivery or a cesarian. Feel free to comment here or send me a message!Looking forward to hearing from you and congrats on your pregnancy!
