Default Has anyone been keeping up with the current politics in the US?

I've only been catching bits and pieces of the debates and sickening speeches on links as they come through on FB.

But it's really jaw dropping stuff!

Abortion and Birth control being one of the main topics.

Yes, it is mind boggling. Some of the laws that have been passed... sheesh.

I try not to read too much about it as it's too bloomin depressing - female politician being called a '$lut' because she wants the pill to be partly govt funded just like viagra pills are - just revolting!

So glad we don't have that nonsense here. Don't get me wrong, it can get pretty childish here but this is a totally different form!!

Thats odd because in the US all forms of birth control are easy to get and free. Ill have to read up on that one.

I think you can only get the pill from a family planning clinic - she wants women to have the right to be able to go to their GP and have it funded as men can do with viagra as opposed to having to make a specific appt with a family health clinic.

Wasn't a pollie that got called a sl*t but Limbaugh, it was a student who addressed Congress (or the Senate, can't remember which one).

They are doing some incredibly whacky stuff at the moment. I keep trying to remind myself that the US grip on global power is weakening.

ah maybe she is talking about the rich people then because I always got my BC from my dr, or after having a child the gyno on the 6 week check up and never paid a dime but the most I ever made over there income wise was $40,000 so that could be why. The insurance over there is confusing because all the different companies have different things they cover so must be she wants all to cover it.
