    Default bird allergy....help!!!

my 20mth old came into close contact with someone's caged cockatiels yesterday. she didn't touch them but was very close to the cage .
less than an hour later she broke out with a rash all over her face which was very warm to touch. I gave her zyrtec (for babies) and it cleared within a couple hours.
so my question is....do i need to have her allergy tested or do i just now assume there is an allergy.

Cockateils, Budgies and Cockatoos all have lots of feather dust that they shed all year round.

Id say she may be allergic to that, seeing as it would be in the air all around your friends place.

Asthmatics can have trouble with those bird species, and combat that with air purifiers and the like.

Id have her tested to make sure

At 4 months old we had to see an ear nose throat specialist as she has hay fever so i hope this won't affect her too much

Well i am really surprised she has not had any form of eczema as yet considering her sister was covered head to toe by this age
