I had my two implanon devices over a number of years, and depo injections before that. At 39, my husband wanted to try for a baby, so I had it removed but told him not to get his hopes up, given my age at the time and the fact I'd had the implanon for so long. The doctor had told me it could take some time to fall pregnant.

Wrong! We were stunned when we discovered we'd fallen pregnant immediately after the device was removed. Now we have little Eli (2) and he is the light of our lives.

Yes - immediately. As in the next day. Depo-Vera - that's a whole other story
