Default I am seriously sick of reading.....children's books ;)

Does anyone else have a child who insists on spending the day being read to? At first I loved it and thought he was super cute. Now I am getting so bored of the same old stories 20times a day. I took DS to the library yesterday to get some variety in our lives, but he is more obsessed than ever! He is now chanting books, books, books....eeeeeeek! Am I terrible? Does anyone else feel like their heads will implode if they are asked to read a story AGAIN after 5 times?

Somehow our most annoying books have mysteriously been "misplaced"

Odd that happened at our place too

I get tired of reading the same ones night after night but I have found a few that I like and can read over and over. The Wonky Donkey is my favourite. It annoys me though when I try to skip pages of the longer books and ds stops and tells me I need to go back. Grrr. Too smart. I find going to the library at least means there is a bit of variety.

So glad to see I am not alone! I think I might "lose" a few this week. I am lucky to have DH home early today, he has already been read 3 of his favs by Daddy.

I was given a book at my baby shower where there is a different Disney story for every day of the year.

I am sick to death of "Paul the Police Car" and "Brown Bear". Also being on the toilet or in the shower and having DS try to shove a book at me

I remember DD going through that phase.. oh how i wish i could go back to that
shes 4 now and she wants to read to me all the time .. this can also get very annoying although very cute! coz she just looks at the pictures and makes up a story as she goes along.. sometimes she can spend 5 minutes on one page, and a small 6 page book can turn into a half-hour story!!! and if i tell her to look at the next page she gets annoyed at me! lol!
