    Listeria and other bacteria/food poisoning are confused all the time... Having said that, I don't think avoiding anything at Maccas is a bad thing, least of all the salad

    Thanks everyone. Yes, it can be confusing sometimes.. it's just so hard to know what's OK and what's not! Like, I'd assume if the lettuce has been washed properly it's safe.. but then PP mentioned the slicer thing that may contain Listeria as well.
    Unfortunelty I sometimes fall into the 'Listeria Hysteria' category as well.. I annoy myself thinking about what's "right" and "wrong" to eat.
    Well, from now on, I'm just not eating

    What about packets of baby spinach? I eat this by the truck load! I do wash it though
    I have eaten it wilted and hot in the microwave for a quiche, in my personal opinion it is still a pre-packaged salad item what about loose baby spinach packed in boxes where you put it in the bag yourself.
