    Default Reports

Do your children do reports much?

we were thinking of having the children do a few reports here is what we are thinking.

State Reports: Each child will pick an Australian state and do a report on its history, etc. They did this in the US but being in Australia I feel it would be great that they do one here we all have a lot to learn about Australia.

History Report: Each kid pick one person from History (anywhere) and write a report on his/her life.

Historical place: Each kid pick a historical place on the mornington Peninsula and do a report we will then visit the places as field trips

Sovereign Hill Report: Each kid will do a report on Sovereign Hill after we will visit.

Marine animal report: Each kid will pick a marine animal and do a report on it, we will visit the Melbourne Aquarium in the aquarium they will have one hour to find out as much as they can about it and then share what they found with the family then use this info in the report.

Aboriginal Report: As a group the kids will learn about the aboriginals and do a report and art project on the Aboriginals in the past and now and present it to us.

So this is what we have come up with so far what do you think? Any advice or critiques?

If you are going to do a report on the indigenous people of this country, please keep in mind that they are not one group. Similar to the indigenous people of North America, Indigenous people in Australia are comprised of a great many groups and have multiple languages and cultures. Also, they come from vastly different backgrounds, for example, Torres Strait Islanders are Polynesian in their descent.
