I had a 7.5kg front loader LG and really disliked it.

I have a Bosch front loader and again don't like it.

I have a 9.5kg Simpson top loader and LOVE it. Oh I really love it and now I want to wash my clothes all the time lol.

Miele are not what they used to be. A relatives original was still going at over 15 years and was given away and is still going strong. Relatives have already had to replace their built in washer and a seperate dryer that were a replacement to the original.

We use a Bosch and are happy with it, it even comes with a child lock!!!!!

I got it because it looked well made - direct drive, super-fast spin, fair price, wide door opening (no trouble with clothes falling out while loading) and heaps of customisable settings. The latter I've really started to play with lately adding soak cycles and extra rinses, adjusting spin speeds (spinning towels at 1400 makes them too dry and they line dry crunchy) and have started to use less and less poweder which is working well too.

I was ironing some sewing in the laundry while it was on spin and a pin fell to the floor and I heard it drop... eg. the spin cycle is so quiet you can actualy hear a pin drop.

ETA: it also had a good energy rating as well as the good WELS rating.
Yep! Totally agree with this post on the samsung bubble wash!! Love love love it.

Same. I can't believe how quiet it is and the spin cycle is great, clothes come out almost dry.

I also have a samsung bubble wash and absolutely love it. I got this one to replace my 2 year old electrolux front loader which was shockingly bad!! (had to have it repaired multiple times under warranty, it never washed properly and often just froze mid cycle so couldn't wash unless I was home to check on it constantly). The samsung is very quiet and the clothes come out clean, unlike old machine where I often had to rewash the kids or DH's clothes. I also used MCN's until recently (toilet trained) and the fact that you can adjust the cycle and then save it is great. I find the 15 minute quick wash really handy too, I usually use this for the kids uniforms at night, so they are fresh for the next day.

    Thanks girls!

I had an unexpected surprise when my mum announced this morning that she wanted to buy my new machine for me!! so we went in to the store and she wanted to buy me a f&p washsmart toploader but I was keen on the Samsung bubblwash (thanks to these reviews). unfortunately the store didn't have my Samsung in stock and i needed a machine today, so I ended up with the f&p. I'm not 100% convinced that its right for me (not great wash options for mcns) but Im so grateful to mum that ill make it work

I haven't read the other post but I can recommend AGAINST a washing machine. DO NOT EVER IN YOUR LIFE buy an Electrolux water saving machine. Mine drives me nuts but it's not high enough on the priority list to replace it.
