Default What do you think of the Ergococoon?

    Hey

I'm just after some opinions of the ergococoon fitted wraps. What do you like about them, what you don't etc? If anyone would like to share. DD2 loves her woombie, she can sleep for 10 hours in it most nights but she's getting a bit too big for the newborn size and I think it's time to transition her into a sleeping bag. But she loves being all squeezed up to sleep so would not like a sleeping bag straight away so I was interested in the ergococoon because you can have the arms out. I've heard the zipper can rub on the throat which puts me off, can anyone comment about that?

Also she's nearly 7 months but only weighs 6 kg and is 64cm so which size would be the best for her?

    TIA

I had both the Woombie for DS when he was newborn then bought the ergo when he was a bit older.

IMO the Woombie is better quality. The material was thicker and so held him tighter, the zipper was better quality - the zipper started coming off the ergo after a couple of months.

I'm pretty sure Woombie also have bags that let you do arms out

I used one of these when DD was a newborn. It was good and once she grew out of it we transitioned to a normal sleeping bag (grobag)

I like my ergo. I wrote a review for it you can read. Never had any trouble with the zipper like you say. My bub is a similar size and weight to yours - but she is younger. HTH

Love the Ergococoon. I have the winter one which I find to be fantastic. I also have a woombie but found it to be lighter and alot more flexible do ds would get his arms stuck in strange positions.
Never had any problems with the zip on either.

Thanks for the replies. I tried to put DD2 in a 6-18 month old sleeping bag today and she was swimming in it, it was hilarious. So I either have to get a 0-6 month old sleeping bag or an ergococoon, and i think the ergococoon might be the wiser choice as she might have a growth spurt (I'm hoping) and grow out of the 0-6 month sleeping bag pretty soon. I'm looking at getting the 3-12 month old ergococoon.
