They said my hormone levels were on the high side of normal and same with my egg numbers, but it would seem if it is OHSS it's probably only mild so what I'm already doing is all they can really do anyway.

It's slightly better than yesterday, but not a lot. I need to go back to work tomorrow, so going to see how I do today/tonight and if no good tomorrow they'll get the doctors to check on me tomorrow. They said it shouldn't effect ET, still scheduled for Sunday.

I don't think I expected this pain post EPU. They had said it might be a little crampy but that was it. I thought once they took the eggs out the bloating would get better, not worse.

Well, I guess it had all gone pretty well up till this, so that's pretty lucky really. Just wish maybe I'd known what to expect a big better...
    Hi Frannie,

My first round of IVF all went well up until EPU, the pain I experienced after that was nothing short of excruciating! I had my DH go buy a hot water bottle, I was on nurofen and sitting on the floor of the shower, I couldn't laugh, cough or sneeze without pain, couldn't go over a speed bump in the car or walk easily up the stairs....this went for 3 days, oh and that was all for a harvest of 7 EGGS!! so no ohss. Did a 5 day transfer which was unsuccessful and after a month sit-out, cancelled Nat FET due to early ovulation am now CD3 and waiting for ovulation for my FET.
Been a mission that's for sure and am hoping and praying our 1 little frostie makes it because I dread going through EPU again!

Hi ladies, hope everything is going well. I'm reading everything but no time for personals right now.

CD 30 and still waiting for AF *sigh*. May have to talk to the clinic in the next couple of days as I'm running out of needles for my Lucrin, lol. Also my ice pack is my new best friend.. after having pain with the jabs the last few days I iced my belly this morning, and it was back to being as pain free as that very first morning, thank goodness.

    Hi Jeannie,

Yeah, was at the point yesterday that even the weight of the wheatbag was too much on my swollen tummy, but you'll all be pleased to hear it is finally easing a little.

The FN told me this morning to try some nurofen today as, as long as I keep up the fluids, it will be flushed from my system before ET and the anti inflammatory can help with the swelling, and it has worked a treat. I'd been avoiding it too, and other clinics may advise against it, but i really feel it saved the day, so if anyone else is suffering it might pay to ask!

Thanks for the support ladies, almost feeling human again!
