Thanks. It just sucks that it's their decision I feel so judged! But I am determined!

Ally, that does suck so much . It's great that you are determined, don't let them beat you.
On the positive side you've already lost 5kg, keep up the great work! Dr's can be so... arrrgh! My Aunty once said there is a reason why some specialists become specialists, because they have no people skills... and she see's a lot of specialists - not fertility though.
I hope everyone has a lovely day.

Hi everyone, I would love to jump in to this thread if I can!

    I'm 29, DH30 and DH has 1% Morphology.

We are going to FS on Monday to sign all the consent forms and book in our very first ICSI treatment. I've read every piece on information I can get my hands on, so now my head is swimming with overwhelming statistics and facts... I'm petrified and excited all at once.

We've been told that they will be transferring 1 embryo on this cycle and we are using the GnRH Antagonist treatment (not 100% sure what that means yet, but I'll ask FS on Monday i guess!)

Its nice to have so many people that I can relate to in here.. when we found out that we would have to turn to ICSI, I felt completely alone. Glad I found you guys!

Hello and welcome Ellie82, Ttcmummy,midnite01, hoping4bubs, squeak4123 and any new ladies I may have missed

Ally, I am also concerned about the weight issue...
I get that the healthier we are the better chance we have of falling pregnant and staying pregnant... and the healthier the bubs will be.

I'm rather overweight myself and thanks to my PCOS it’s damn hard to shed.
But my IVF clinic has NEVER even mentioned my weight, let alone suggested it was an issue.
It seems to concern me more than them.. I said to DH.. "Do you think out FS just hasn’t noticed how overweight I am... why isn’t he demanding I lose some?"

I’ve brought it up myself, and all our FS has said was he tells all his patients that are above normal weight to try and loose 5 - 10%... because it can only help!

Are you going through the public system? I’ve heard that they are very strict on BMIs.

I’m so impressed with your 5kg loss... keep up the good work girlfriend

Thanks!!! First FS I saw there from the ivf place was like yours he said I tested healthy enough to start the lady doctor took one look at me and said to lose 15 kgs before she'd even look at starting me its so frustrating and I'm annoyed that I have to lose the weight when there is no medical information that actually says I have to its just her personal opinion so now mivf have the recommendation the first FS said to start losing the weight so it looks like I'm doing what they say and he'll argue I can start but June is now our earliest chance to start so I'm a bit sad I thought I'd be starting this cycle

Hi ladies! Mind if I join? I've just started my 3rd ivf round on Monday. Excited that I've started another cycle but scared to hell at the same time that this won't work. Ive just changed clinics and FS so hoping a fresh opinion and protocol is wot we need to get a BFP.
Ally I'm really sorry about wots happening to you, you might of already mentioned it but r u able to c a different specialist?
Also for everyone that's scared with needles like me a tip I got given on another thread was to ice the area first. Works wonders and I never feel it that way!

Thanks! I'll remember your ice tip I also heard to let it get to room temperature first from my sil

I could but that would probably set me back more so I'm just trying to think an extra 28 days will mean nothing after I get that bfp!

    Hi ladies

My DH and I will be cycling in Jun/July - with our egg donor!

We've had three IVF cycles, all with terrible results so hopefully different eggs will make a difference.

I'm still waiting for my AF to arrive so I can start on the pill (to synchronize). I'm 37 days into my cycle - my body must be withdrawing for IVF drugs!

Hi Della - good luck with the jabbing. Don't be nervous - I actually almost feel normal jabbing because it means I'm actively trying to do something. Just remember that you will blow up like a balloon at some stage!!

I'm currently on three needles a night and progress to four tonight! Lucky me. Hopefully I find out tomorrow when pick-up is which will be good.
