Nope, I never lock doors, except at night.

I remember when I was little, we had the concern of waking up in the morning to find the back door wide open. This happened a few nights in a row and we started getting concerned that someone was coming in to the house whilst we were asleep.

We discovered the culprit was out cat. She would jump out the two story window to get out, but when she wanted back in, she would go to the back door, jump up and grab the handle whilst pushing against the doorframe with her back paws.

We had to start locking the back door at night to prevent her doing so.

I don't lock the front door when I'm at home or out. I also leave the car unlocked with the keys in it when at home. We live rural though

When we lived in our old house yes. All the time. Especially the front door and side door. I let the back door unlocked coz i could see it from the kitchen. Now we live in apartment complex which is pretty safe. security cameras and security guards patrol the whole complex. So I rarely do it now.

I've haven't hung the washing out in that state since!

I figure if they're going to break in, then they'd smash a window anyway... this just saves me cleaning up broken glass
