I'm pretty casual and leave doors open all over the place, as I feel fairly safe here during the day.

If it's just me and kids at home I do. If it's during the day and DH is there and BIL is out the front working on his car then we don't.

Another Fort Knox here. It's just habit, after living in the inner city for years.

My front and back doors are always key locked no matter who's home.

An old habit from my parents since we lived in a area with high crime rates.

Since everything that has gone on lately with my ex housemate (threats and broken into) my house is constantly dead locked whether we're home or not. Only doors left open when we're home is one that leads off the lounge into the courtyard.

My front door can't be opened from the outside without a key.

My back sliding door has a latched security screen.

My laundry door is just a plain normal door.

If I'm home, I have all my doors wide open.

I live in a quiet (local traffic only) area. My front yard is fenced and key locked, so I'm not worried about unexpected visitors.

I lock and alarm at night and when going out.

My front door isn't locked right now... the big door is open and the screen is shut, but you can only lock the screen with the key so I haven't bothered. I lock it if I leave the room though, or if I go out or go to bed or something.

Usually it's locked. I don't want rapists coming in and attacking me or DD. Or anything else too, but my main worry is rapists. lol.
