    Default Nickname for Hailey

I have been having second thoughts on our chosen girl name: Hailey
Everyone in our family has a nickname and dont like the idea of Lee or Hai.

Do you think Lil would work? If I say it enough times it should catch on... maybe?

Our other two DD's have old/vintage/grandma names and this is as close as I can get with DH as he hates Audrey, Matilda, Tilly and so many others. If you have any suggestions I would welcome those as well.

    My cousin gets Hails.

You can ask people to use your preferred nickname but once she gets older it's a bit hard to control what she gets called!

She might get Hails. I do like the name though. Other old fashioned names that come to mind are Maggie, Hazel, May and Audrey.

just asked her what her friends call her and she said nearly everyone calls her hailey.
one friend says either hails or hailey-Bailey.
one friend says hay hay hay.
and one friend calls her hailey-babe.
other than that all friends say hailey. not too bad considering she is 14

I know I dont get alot of choice in what others call her and its probably just my grumpy (aka: too fat & tied) preggy hormones making me question the name we picked but with DD1 & DD2 the names were never questioned once picked (Both by 8-12wks pg)

This is the only time I have thought it would be good to have a boy because at least I know what that name is without question.
