Default Culling the baby clothes - did you keep a few special items?

I'm currently in the process of moving and so am going through our very cluttered garage and bedrooms and coming across my girls baby clothes. Since I'm having a boy, and thus will consider myself done having children, I'm getting rid of the baby clothes. There are so many. And some DD1 is picking up and asking if she wore it and when it was hers, I get all misty and she thinks she's upset me lol.

Anyway the question is, did you keep any of your baby clothes for each child? I just found DD2s outfit that she went home in and I can't quite bring myself to put in the box for ebay or in the throw away bag. So, did you?

yeah all the special knitted tings i kept, my dh's grandma is in her 80's and a master on the kitting needles! I could never imagine selling these things. Also, there was a favourite outfit of DD (a pair of pink overalls) that i HAD to keep. And a tiny pair of shoes too

I think a coulpe of special ones you should keep. Like the one bub was brough home in or anything that was hand made by family!

Everytime i go through the baby clothes i want another one

Yep, we have kept a few special items, and I'm considering making a quilt out of the rest

I'm just glad I'm pregnant now lol going through these would definitely make me want another!

So far I've got both the blankets they came home in, DD2s coming home suit and I'm looking for DD1s though I'm not sure I remember at the moment what it was? Lol. And then some of the green, orange, white stuff I'm keeping for DS.

I just wanted to see what everyone else did.

I only kept their christening gown, though I do still have boxes full of DS2's clothes packed away, waiting until we know what sex this bub is before I get rid of anything.

Yep, I kept DDs first outfit, special outfits that where given to us and my absolute favourites.

I just kept them in a space saver bag in her cupboard, the rest where sold, given away or the others I couldn't bring myself to part with where given to DD for her dolls

I find it so hard to throw out my sons baby clothes. I have kept the things that have sentimental value.... Problem is, SO much has sentimental value haha! But i'm a bit of a hoarder like that. I'm now pregnant with a girl so will probably be worse this time!

My plan is to keep a box of special things I collect over the years, and give that to them on their 18th birthdays. Along with the savings account I open for them both. I'm sure they'll be more impressed with their bank balance, but oh well. I'm sure they'll appreciate the little things too

I kept all of my favourite outfits. Will probably go back through them in a few years time and do a further cull.

I'm keeping the things that I think are really super cute to make a quilt from but most of his clothes are stuff that belongs to all my friends that had boys before us so they are being passed on to the next person to have a boy
