    Default Laparoscopy question

I'm going in for a laparoscopy next week, it is more exploratory than anything else at this stage.

I've booked a holiday with my DH and 2 kids and leave a fortnight after the lap is done. Will I be restricted in swimming or anything like that? We are going to port Douglas so really hoping its all going to be ok.

    What has been others experience?

No I highly doubt it... I was told sex Was fine whenever i felt Fine.. You will be really sore if they cut out any endo etc..

I had 4 days off work when I had mine in November last year..

Why is it your having it done? Do they suspect endo?

Even if I was sore though it wouldn't restrict me playing with the kids in the pool or something?

I'm having it done because since Oct last year I've been having terrible pain in my abdomen, experience both complex and simple ovarian cysts, my period has changed and a few other issues. I have other health issues too so it's trying to assess whether it has spread to my ovaries (I have Sarcodiosis), if it is endo or not related gynaecologically at all and we have to go another route to see what is causing the pain etc.

I had endo lasered out during my 'diagnostic' laparoscopy. Even then I was OK to do what I wanted in about a week. 2 weeks and I was completely back to normal.

Just be kind to yourself, and warm, consistent weighted heat backs on your abdomen (if it doesn't effect your sites) and/or back

Good Luck. I hope you get answers and relief!

Well I had my lap and D&C yesterday and from what I understand they didn't find anything. I'm waiting for the gyno to call me as I cannot remember a thing he said through my anaesthetic haze. Part of me is relieved it was nothing but then I'm also concerned that I'll still have pain and no answer why. I am so sick of being in this vicious cycle.
