Sunday nights - Thursday nights he works either 3pm-1am or 3pm-3am.
Friday nights - Saturday nights he works 5pm-5am.
Sometimes he has 5am-5pm shifts, but that's rare now.
After the weekday shifts he will sleep in until about 11am and weekend shifts he will sleep in until 1pm.
So the only real time I get to see him properly is when he has days off, which often isn't for 8-10 days.
ETA- I forgot to add commute times in here. It can be up to an hour to get to work, and he has to be there 30 mins early to get his belt on and sign his 'weapons' (lol) in as well as brush up on any 'wanted' people. So has to leave 1.5 hours before his shift starts, and can be home anywhere from 1 hour and beyond after his shift finishes.

At the moment dh leaves work before 4 in the morning and gets home after 5pm.

Usually if he is home working and not doing a fifo roster then he usually leaves before 6am and gets home closer to 7.

Long days. Its as if he is never here sometimes regardless of if he is doing fifo.

Leaves at 8am, sometimes earlier and Mon-Thurs he is home anywhere from 8pm- 5am the following day. friday nights he aims to be home by 6pm but tonight it will be after 8pm and then he is working all day tomorrow too.
Actually now I'm at uni on a Mon night he tries to be home in time for me to go to uni but he puts the kids to bed and then works through the night. When i get home from uni he is engrossed in his work and we say hello and then goodnight to each other.
dinner, bath, bed is mine to contend to and has always been that way unless he is home...

Gone by 6 generally and on a 'good' day is home by 6. But he is a supervisor and often on call so really, there is no normal. I'm happy if he's home by 7 so he can see the kids before they go to bed.
