Default Are these the right blood tests to be having?

Hello! I went to my GP today due to having no AF since coming off the pill in December. I don't think I am ovulating. This hasn't happened before and when I stopped pill to have my DS I conceived within 6 weeks!!!

GP has sent me for blood tests and pelvic ultrasound.

    Blood tests are for:

    B-HCG (Quantitative)
    B12/Folate
    Fe Studies
    FSH
    LH
    Oestradiol
    Progesterone
    Rubella Serology
    TFTs
    FBC/ELFT

Are these the right tests to be having?

    Hi TobysmumUK

Just wanted to wish you lots of luck, I don't know about the Blood tests...we were in the same boat though...conceived DS on first go and then didn't get period back after birth, I hope your journey is nice and short though and hopefully your GP can have a solution after the blood tests.

The only thing I would say though (I'm not an expert by any means though) is that my GP also sent me for the majority of tests you are having but I later learned from my FS that some tests need to be taken at certain times during your cycle, otherwise the results are kinda redundant...ie. Progestrone should be taken 7 days after ovulation otherwise it will be low suggesting non ovulation (and very upsetting when GP tells you that!), google menstrual cycle to have a look at when certain hormones would be high/low etc in your cycle (although like me you're not getting periods)! Its so confusing!!

    and for you!!
