Default Falling pregnant first cycle off Pill. PCOS

Has anyone with PCOS fallen pregnant first cycle after stopping the pill ? Or known of anyone who has.

I've heard/read you can be most fertile that first cycle off. Hoping for a honeymoon baby. Unrealistic ? Oh yeh !

Yeh I am on Metformin (when i remember to take it).

I have lean PCOS so not sure if it's going to be easier or harder for me to TTC. As weight loss isn't an option to help ovulate.

Goodluck I hope it happens soon for you. My endocrinologist said to TTC for 6 months on metformin if no luck then come to her for clomid.

Recently i've had acne too when not on hormonal contraception.
    Really blows !

I'm sorry to hear you didn't ovulate on Clomid. I'm worried about that too. So will weigh up trying naturally a little longer so that I don't exhaust all my options if Clomid doesn't work for me.

Planning on seeing a naturopath once I get back from my honeymoon.

Goodluck hopefully a higher dose works next cycle

    Yep me :-)

    History -
DD1 - took 14 months, had just been diagnosed with PCOS and was due to start metformin a week later,
DD2 - started metformin after 6 month ttc and 5 months later BFP,
DS - metformin for 4 months then started clomid. Clomid for 5 months then BFP.
Was told that if we ttc another we would most likely start with injections as PCOS had gotten worse with each pregnancy.

We decided to try for number 4 in November and the first appointment available with our specialist was the first week of Feb. I stopped the pill the second week of December and ovulated 3/4th January. I am now due September 29th :-)

We werent really expecting that we'd get #4 so was a huge surprise and I bawled my eyes out when I saw the test because I had done it when DH wasn't home and I was in shock :-)

I've been diagnosed with PCOS since 2000 (12 loooong years ago), reserved myself to the fact I'd never conceive again so tucked it away. In Jan, we decided to get on metformin and have a crack at it. We got our BFP on a lazy Sunday morning, the 19th February, our very first attempt. Although it wasn't a sticky jelly bean, we still fell pregnant on our first cycle so yes, it's definitely possible!
Good luck, I hope you get your BFP! Sending baby dust your way

2girls1boyplus1 - thanks for the story. I know it's rare but still nice to hear of it happening. Congrats on the natural BFP.

Mersification- sorry to hear it wasn't a sticky bean. Hope you get your sticky one soon. I'm really hoping I ovulate first cycle off.

Just going to DTD as much as possible leading up to O. We'll be on our honeymoon after all

I did with my second. My first on the other hand was 18mths TTC and this one (3rd) was 12mths. My doc was very surprised it happened so quickly with 2nd. And not surprised at all I needed help with third.

    Good luck though!!!

    Hi
I have lean PCOS too and went off the pill in Sept 2011.
I didnt get any periods/ovulate at all so was all booked into seeing a fertility specialist at the end of Feb 2012 (to start clomid) when I got a BFP in early Feb 2012!!! So still have had no period but obviously ovulated and luckily, DH's sperm was ready to go!

My GP said that a person with PCOS likely ovulates naturally once or twice a year and it is just luck to "catch" those eggs!

Im due Oct 2011 with my first bubba

    Good luck!
