I just finished paying mine off, it was $2200 and it's gonna be $300 for alterations if it needs any, not sure yet as I don't try it on again until the end of this month

Free!! I borrowed my husband's cousins dress, think she paid about 2k.

I never dreamt of my wedding day or dress and hers was perfect and simple...and meant I had more money for the honeymoon!

About$450. It was a combo of 2 designs, custom
Made for me from china. If you get it made from overseas tell them the date of your wedding is a month before it really is so any delays don't stress you out or it arrives too late for your wedding.

Mine cost me $110 which came with free shipping from China.

I sent them a photo of the dress I wanted and they made it to fit the measurements I sent them. It wasn't TOTALLY traditional. It was a 'tea length' dress as I got married on the beach, but it still had beautiful beading on it.

Some things weren't exactly like the picture, but what can you expect for $110 and only 4 weeks to make and send it overseas

Mine was $2500, but because I bought the one in store which everyone tries on, instead of having it ordered in, I got it for cheaper- $1800. It was a Maggie Sotterro. My dream dress!
Thankfully I didnt have to pay for it, my dad and his wife paid for the wedding and my mum and step dad paid for me dress.

Congratulations! DF and I are getting married next month. Lucky story- I had tried the dress on at the designer's store, left to think about it and as I was walking back to the car saw that the designer had a sample store. Went in, saw the dress, tried it on and discovered it was my size! Saw it as a 'sign' to buy it as paid $700 instead of $2000, spent extra $70 to take it up.

congrats OP - its such an exciting time!
my suggestion is hit the bridal mags and websites to see what you like and go from there ( you can get the mags 2nd hand off ebay - look for bulk purchases in your area so no postage - i got a whole box for under 10$)

i thought i *knew* exactly what i wanted. and then i saw MY dress. It was in a catalogue at a bridal shop, royal purple, lacing at sides, beading, gathered skirt - and i had a half price voucher so paid $1000 for a $1800 or so dress ( extra for plus size). Spent under $50 on a hoop off ebay which i have worn multiple times a year so well worth it. $100 for the bustle to be done to my specifications ( didn't want the standard one cos of my size and the skirt). also had a steel boned corset custom made ( $600).
Dress fit me perfectly when i got it (18 months prior to wedding) and because of side lacing fit on the day as well regardless of weight loss or gain.

ON the otherhand i bought a wedding dress off ebay ( made in china) as an evening dress, paid under $200 i think and it fits perfect too - and its good quality.

I think it will depend on what you want and what you like ( and then try on every dress you can because you never know what will suit you best!)
