$3200 - that was in 2010. It was a lot, but it was made to measure, silk & lace with hand beading.

Congratulations I paid $1k in 2009 for an Alfred Angelo, plus about $200 in alterations. Shoes, veil and underwear added another $300 or so (mostly shoes and veil - I just wore customised undies underneath!)

One thing I did was download a wedding budget checklist from a wedding website which sets out everything you *could* need to pay for and their average costs. When we started planning DH and I went through the list together, decided what we could do without (e.g. DJ, cars) and changed the prices on things where we thought we might spend more/less. That's probably a good place to start if you're not sure on costs, especially if you don't want to go crazy spending (which is easy to do).

My biggest tip for wedding planning is don't try to please everyone (it's impossible anyway)! And, enjoy it

Mine was $500. It was marked down from $1700. Because they have stopped making it and only bought mine 2 weeks ago.

WOW - everyones prices are so varied.

I got my made - material was about $1k and I think she charged about $2k to make it.

It wasn't a traditional wedding dress and I actually wore it to a posh cocktail wedding the other week and had sooooooooo many comments about how well the dress fitted me.

The same lady made my sisters wedding dress for $500.

It just depends on how many hrs work goes into it i spose.
