Need help what should I do?

Well it's DS 1st birthday on Saturday and the cash is tight, I'm still yet to buy him the perfect gift

We have around 50 guests and I'm debating on doing a BBQ with sausages and hamburgers or a spit.
I'm absolutely hopeless in knowing prices etc but my hubby is excellent with organizing a spit and knowing his prices.
How much would you get for sausages and hamburgers? Eg 1 kg sausages 30 Hamburgers.
Or would it just be cheaper to do a spit (we have our own spit etc)
I think I'm just in a tizz about it all at the moment.

If money is tight, I'd probably stick with the spit and maybe some cheap sausages- no more than $15 for about 2 dozen I would think.

I'd go with a spit an salads there will be enough meat for everyone and at the end of the day it's not about the food.. Your little man will enjoy his day and no one will care

Thank you both, yep I'm leaning more to the spit, I think it will turn out cheaper but I think it also looks a bit better to serve for a first birthday

Now that's over I'm still thinking of a gift sigh I'm such the procrastinator lol
