Default *spin off* when did you lower your cot base?

What age or stage was your bubba when you lowered your cot base (assuming you could adjust it of course!)?

I've realised in the last couple of days that my dd can sit by herself for maybe 5 - 10 seconds without tipping over. She can't get herself to sitting yet though and she can't crawl. She is a determined little miss though and super strong & quite tall.

Having said that I have a bad back and the lower position of the cot is quite low, so I am keen to keep her at the higher level as long as it's safe. I didn't have to lower the base for my ds til he was 10 months old when he sat himself up & started to crawl. My dd is only 5 months old!

I'll do it when she can pull herself up to stand. At the moment she can sit independently, but only if I sit her up - she cannot get herself into a sitting position. Once she can get herself to sit up, and use the cot to stand up, then down it will come! I won't do it any sooner as I'm quite short and it's bloody difficult to gently put a sleeping baby down on a lowered base without dropping them the last few inches!

DD1 at 5mths as she could hold the rail and pull herself over to it.

DD2 at 6mths when she was rolling around the cot.

I think DS was 6-7 months old. I waited until he started trying to sit himself up and stand up.
