    Default Bedtime??

What time does everyone put their LO's to sleep?

DS is 7 and DD is 2 and they go to bed at 8:15pm. Both HATE going to bed and both take 1-1.5hrs to get to sleep.

DD normally doesn't have day naps anymore either, but still has the energy to kick and scream for hours! She transitioned into a bed 2 months ago and its not fun, i'm almost considering putting her cot back up!

    Help?

Bed time in this house is 7.30 on school nights and 8.30 most weekend/holiday nights except for special occasions. We start the day at 5am so any later and there are massive mood swings through the day that are unpleasant.

My two girls.. 4 and 10 are 8pm (730 in winter). We have a really solid routine now though so they dont fight it anymore. Dinner at 6. Bath/shower. Story and cuddles. Bed. Has been in place since DD1 was about 18 months and I was a single Mummy. Now when we have a night without the routine or we've been out all it takes is 'bedtime now'. So worth the initial hard work with DD1.
    Good luck with your babies

Theoretically 8.30 but depends whether swim club finishes late etc. So sometimes it's more like 9 - 9.15. We made 8.30pm way back in the day with our elder girls cos that was when our fav TV programs were on which were inappropriate for LOs. Even the big girls go to bed then - I've told whingers that I'll extend when they no longer get up grumpy!

H (nearly 8mths) goes to bed about 10pm. He won't settle if I try earlier. Fine at present when I'm not working but could be a bit difficult to try doing homework after that!

And weekends are about 9ish, though if we're watching a movie, I generally let them finish.

My dd1 who is 10 goes to bed at 8.30, ds who is 1 goes to bed at 7.30 and dd2 who is 2 is still awake most nights at 11. She doesn't sleep during the day, refuses to sleep in her own bed and JUST WONT SLEEP!!! It does my head in!!!

    Ds1, 3.11, hours to sleep between 800 and 830.

Ds2, 10 mths, doesn't sleep, usually he gets to bed by 1am.
