    Hi ladies

I've had a busy week and no time for posts, but reading along! A lot going on here.

Maryz, so happy to hear that you've made 28 weeks. I know that is a very important milestone based on my bosses recent experiences with her bub. I'm sorry you're still missing your DH so much. That would be so hard, but it will be worth it in the end.

bwana, sorry to hear about your pre-term labour. That must be quite a shock. How many weeks are you? I hope baby does the right thing and stays put too.

Hope13, I am so over the heat too! I'm in Sydney for work today so I've missed the Melb cool change but I'm looking forward to getting back home to it. Our house has been so hot as the aircon has died and we were hoping to put off replacing it until next summer. Didn't expect this hot spell.

Like you, I'm eager to start a new cycle. I'm not sure what sort of cycle it's going to be yet. We see Dr Nick on Monday to find out what's next for us and I have absolutely no idea what to expect.

I'm hoping it's not a spell on the pill again as I really hated doing that. I'm hoping to go back to short stim cycles if possible. Everything revolves around our Doc appt at the moment. We've been talking about having a holiday but it all depends on the timing of all important IVF cycles!

    Just1...hope your headache has improved

    Hello to anyone I've missed

    Hey Erin,

I also wanted to do short stim cycle the second time with Dr Nick but he wouldn't come at it. Because i was shocked and shattered the first cycle didn't work with Dr Nick, i was keen and eager to get the second and last go of Ivf over and done with so i could move on with life. I know it is hard and you just want to move on to next cycle but please put you faith in the hands of Dr Nick!. I mean for us he is a miracle doctor and in 6-8 weeks i am going to have a beautiful daughter..

My headaches is better as long as i don't bend down... As for the cool change here in Melbourne it is just fantastic to feel not so hot and uncomfortable.
    Good luck with your appointment.

Thanks Rae, we do definitely have our faith in Dr Nick and we'll be doing whatever he recommends.

I'm going to ask him about short vs down reg, because I've done both now and the end result has been virtually the same. We got a lot more eggs on the down reg but I'm assuming that is because we also coincidentally increased the FSH and we may achieve the same with a short cycle and increased FSH. I got mild case of OHSS on the down reg and that didn't happen on the short cycle, but again that may be due to the drugs.

I have so many theories on what might be next for us. Too much Dr Google

Sounds like sinus issues for you, if bending over is what makes it hurt??

    Hi Mary,
Glad you are going well. 28 weeks tomorrow is a amazing effort. That was point wear I started to stress less. Knowing that bub had a excellent chance if she came early. 10 more weeks to go.
It's nice that you have another girl to chat to. Being at the same point in her pregnancy. You will be fine when you see your bub. If you cry, go for it. Look what you have been through. You go with how you feel. I did't cry when I had Olivia. I think it was because they seemed to be taking to long and I was worried. When I had Abbey and Foster I felt like crying but stopped myself. I wish I didn't.
We do have air conditioning. When the twins were 12 months old we had central air conditioning put in. We had central heating so it was easy to do. The best spent money ever.
We are now doing up a old farm house that was built in 1905 which has no air conditioning. We must be crazy.
I know how you feel about your husband leaving at night. I was only in hospital 6 days and hated it. I've been married 12 years at the end of the month and being with someone for that long and them not being there at night is so hard.
With my first pregnancy I found the c-section a better experience. Being in hospital already helped with that. Second time around I felt like I was going shopping. Just did't feel real.
Glad all is well. Look after yourself

    Hi Rae,
Wonderful to hear from you. Glad you are doing so well. 32 weeks is great. 6-8 weeks to go. Getting Close. When I was pregnant with Olivia was always had the hiccups. My Dr said it is a sign of a healthy baby. Olivia still gets them all the time. Now it is after she eats. I feel sorry for you in this heat. At least today is a lot better. I can't remember, Are you having a natural deliviery or c-section?
Look after yourself and chat soon.

Hi Kath, Sorry to hear that you have gone into pre term labour. Glad they were able to stop it. Bub is a wonderful weight. My twin sister and I were born at 31 weeks. Our weights were 3.12 and 4.4. We are both fine.
Rest up in Hospital and take care of yourself.
    Take care Kel xxx

    Rae,
I forgot to say I love the birthing shows. I don't like to cry, but I cry every time I watch them. They are so amazing. x

Kel, yes I'm super excited that its 28 wks and start of third trimester today, very relieved! I'm kinda glad now I'm going for the c-section. Given how much I'm going through I just want a quick stress free birth hopefully!! Glad to hear you've got air cond cause definately unbearable without it! Do you by any chance use a breast pump or know what's a good one to buy??

Kath, I'm so sorry to hear you've been admitted to hospital. Did you rupture your membranes or was it just early contractions? How long do you have to stay in hospital? I hope everything will be fine and your bub stays put for awhile longer.

Rae, woww 32 weeks and not so long to go now! I can't believe it! It feels like only yesterday we were chatting when you were just about to do the cycle. Have you decided if you're having a c section or natural birth?

Erin, I always did the long full stim cycles and I'm also prone to OHSS as I have PCOS. Dr Nick is my OB too and he was against me doing the short stim cycle, he said he was getting better results with the long stim cycle. Unfortunately I had long periods on the pill too, hated the waiting so totally know how you feel. Good luck with your appoint Monday and taking a holiday is a fantastic way to pass the time while waiting to start in the injections. We did that many times! You also come back feeling more relaxed and positive about a new cycle.

AFM, all going good at the moment. Bub kicks heaps and as long as my waters don't break I'm just passing time on bedrest! Have two lovely ladies here next to me who have unfortunately ruptured their waters, one at 28 1/2 weeks and another at 33 wks so they will now be in hospital till delivery too and doctors are trying to keep their babies in as long as possible. I had terrible nausea and vomited this morning, don't know why. It's real hard sticking it out in hospital, been here 3 weeks now. 10 more to go!

    Take care all,
    Mary xx

Hi ladies, well it seems my tough road continues! Bad news! My waters broke last night and they're still going with massive gushes every time I move. It was a horrible horrible night where I had to change 3 times. It's unbelievable the volume of fluid coming out and it doesn't seem like its stopping. It's so unfair cause I was soooo happy all day to have reached 28 wks and start third trimester and bang waters broke in evening. Even though we knew it was a high chance it happening it was still a big shock. Dr came to see me at 7.30am. I've had a steroid shot to develop baby's lungs and put on antibiotics to prevent infection. Having scan later today. If baby's head is down and covering cervix then it's safe to leave baby inside for a few more weeks. If baby breech or transverse then he said he's going to take the baby out straight away as its too dangerous with potentially the cord falling out. So fingers crossed! Didn't get any sleep, I'm stressed and worried and I'm really scared how a 28 weeker will do. They say chances are very good! It's just all too scary as potentially this baby may be born any day now.

    Mary xx
